Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in San Diego seeks a Patent Agent/Advisor to join its patent counseling and prosecution practice. The ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree (material, chemical, mechanical, or biomedical) and have industry experience, plus a broad understanding of chemical engineering and materials science.

Responsibilities include prior art searches, assisting attorneys in prosecution and counseling, and drafting patent applications and office-action responses.

Qualifications

• At least one year of law firm experience.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal English communication.
• Demonstrated initiative, fast learning, and teamwork.
• Registered US patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam.
• Advanced degree is a plus.
