Restaurant Associates

We have an opening for full time PASTRY PREP COOK position.

Location: CxRA - 33 51 62nd Street, Woodside, NY 11377. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time schedule. Friday through Thursday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 3 years of previous culinary experience is preferred. Large scale pastry experience is required.

Pay Range: $18.50 per hour to $22.50 per hour.

Job Summary:

Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
  2. Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
  3. Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
  4. Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
  5. Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy. Follows HACCP guidelines.
  6. Completes all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
  7. Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
  8. Takes orders from customer and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
  9. Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
  10. Completes orders from steam tables and grill and serves customers at multiple stations.
  11. Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  12. Resolves customer concerns.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
