Job summary

Treehouse Silicon Valley, part of Starwood Hotels, is seeking a Pastry Lead to helm the pastry and baking program. You will craft desserts, breads, ice creams, and doughs, leading a creative team across banquet, casual dining, and our Valley Goat restaurant.

You will oversee mise en place, ensure safety and quality, train colleagues, and collaborate with the culinary team to deliver menus that delight guests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional pastry and baking experience.
• Experience in high-volume or fine dining.
• Expertise in dough preparation, ice cream production, and dessert plating.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pastry and baking program, including the preparation of desserts, breads, ice creams, and doughs.
• Oversee production of pastries and baked goods for all dining outlets.
• Maintain consistency in presentation, flavor, and texture across pastry offerings.
• Manage mise en place for pastry stations, ensuring readiness for service.
• Assist with inventory management and proper storage of pastry ingredients.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on pastry techniques.
