THE JOB:

MGM Grand is looking for a Pastry Cook to join the L'Atelier team. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by showcasing your culinary artistry. From mixing and baking to crafting stunning desserts, you'll set the stage for excellence with every creation, combining your passion for baking with precision and skill.

THE STARTING RATE: $23.1538/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Show your culinary passion by crafting various menu items while following set recipes and standards

  • Proofing bread and baking morning Danish

  • Comfortable using scales and metric system for measuring ingredients

  • Consistently maintain proper stocking, cleanliness, and sanitation of back-of-house areas

  • Ensure guest safety by following proper food handling procedures

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • One year of experience working in pastry production

  • Pastry skills experience specializing in plated desserts high end production, such as upscale or fine dining restaurant

  • Proficient in a wide range of baking and pastry techniques

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
