This is a full-time position, working mainly in our pastry kitchen. As a Pastry Cook II, you will have the chance to learn and expand on your culinary skills while creating exceptional meals for our Hotel's events and outlets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation of products following standardized recipes
  • Uses weights and measures to adjust ingredients in recipes
  • Performs tasks as assigned by Chef or shift leader
  • Informs leaders of inventory to be ordered
  • Operates and cleans machinery and equipment
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet service and production goals
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Assist with receiving and storing food supplies

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Average ability of math
  • Understands Baker’s Percentage
  • Basic knowledge of mixing techniques for sponges, mousses, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of icing cakes
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food handling
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to finish assignments on time
  • Able to communicate with colleagues and leaders
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate required (can be acquired upon hire.)
  • Previous experience in the culinary field preferred
  • Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements Include:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
