We're seeking a passionate Pastry Cook to join our dedicated culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a foundational pastry background to refine their skills while contributing to an award-winning food & beverage program.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present pastries, baked goods, and desserts to luxury standards
• Uphold kitchen and food safety procedures at all times, including ServSafe practices
• Ensure proper food storage, cleanliness, and allergen handling
• Collaborate with the pastry and broader culinary team for banquet and à la carte service
• Note: All culinary team members may be assigned to support any of our resort’s food & beverage outlets based on business needs, including the main restaurant (breakfast, lunch, and dinner service), in-room dining, poolside service, and banquet events.
  
  

Schedule – The shifts start around 5:30 am and 1:30 pm and are 8 hours in duration. We require schedule flexibility, including the willingness to work mornings and/or evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The hourly pay range for this position is $22-25/hour depending on experience. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay rates will be based on a number of factors including experience and education.
