Pastry chef for an independent, modern, and popular brunch cafe/restaurant with fabulous local reviews and a supportive owner. Daytime hours only - Hammersmith - May 25 start.

The Company:

A local, bright, modern cafe/restaurant located in Hammersmith, known for delivering great food with a seasonal British menu with a Mediterranean twist.

Role Details:

This busy establishment is renowned for excellent cooking and is best suited for an experienced, creative pastry chef. You will assume full responsibility for overseeing the pastry section, including menu creation, production, and maintaining quality standards, working in an operation with high standards within a friendly, tight-knit team.

About you:
  • A positive and energetic pastry chef who would integrate well into the existing kitchen team.
  • Background in pastry and baking.
  • Enjoy working independently in a bright, separate pastry kitchen on a different level from the main kitchen.
  • Creative and trend-savvy with a flair for innovation, experienced in crafting baked goods and pastries such as laminated lemon dough bread and seasonally inspired bakes. All items are made fresh in-house.
  • High standards, organized, and able to work comfortably alone while also supporting a friendly kitchen team.
  • Experience catering to specific dietary requirements and creating vegan options.
  • Calm, methodical, self-motivated, team-spirited, and eager to grow within a modern, cutting-edge business.
  • Reliable, creative, hardworking, and committed to a long-term role.
