Pastry Cook/BakerPosition SummaryAs Team Members of the Food and Beverage team, Pastry Cook/Bakers are CRCR Ambassadors and take personalownership to ensure all their actions are in the best interest of the business. Pastry Cook/Bakers are responsible forpreparing and baking various goods, such as cakes, cookies, pies, and bread. They create new and exciting desserts toenhance menus and engage Guests.Position FunctionsEssential Functions:• Provide exceptional Guest service while maintaining a positive attitude.• Prepare desserts, pastries, and other baked goods using business recipes while operating large-volume cookingequipment.• Prepare and maintain ingredients, tools, supplies, and equipment.• Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and merchandise.• Restock and restock daily all pastries, cakes, pies, and other baked goods.• Ensure each product is stored, prepared, and served according to specifications and standards.• Execute pastry orders for catered events and accommodate special requests.• Prepare garnishes for baked items.• Prepare custom-made pastries based on the preferences of Guests (e.g., birthday cakes).• Create a prep list and see it through to the very end.• Communicate any changes or substitutions to management.• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards for the kitchen and workstations, cleaning food preparationareas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.• Have proper rotation of products in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage.• Assure that all baking and pastry items are prepared and delivered promptly.• Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards aremet.• Use creativity to craft enticing treats.• Other duties as assigned.Skills• Demonstrate strong listening and communication skills.• Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking.• Must be able to work independently and maintain a high level of performance.• Must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining business standards.• Demonstrate a flock mentality, focused on teamwork and collaboration with others.• Provide exceptional service to internal and external Guests while leveraging the knowledge of the position andthe business, ensuring a clucktastic experience for all.• Stay engaged and motivated with the business, department, and all Team Members at all levels whileencouraging growth and development of self and others.• Build lasting relationships by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and effective communication.• Drive to exceed expectations while remaining accountable and fair.• Be able to produce a high volume of cupcakes for every chick hatched.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:• Must be at least 18 years of age.• 1+ year experience as a Pastry Cook/Baker.• Must be able to attain an Online Food Handler Certificate.• Knowledge of basic baking techniques.• Knowledge of how a recipe works.Preferred Qualifications:• 2+ years of kitchen experience.• Experience with baking and pastry preparation.DisclaimerThis document is for informational purposes only.
