Job summary

Dallas College seeks Temporary Full Time Faculty in Pastry Arts for Spring 2027 (January start). In this on-site role, you will teach and mentor students in pastry arts, develop syllabi, and align courses with program outcomes while upholding college policies.

Responsibilities include teaching duties, curricular development, student assessment, and service contributions to departments and committees, with potential for hybrid work after six months based on policy and supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Hospitality, Food Science, Gastronomy or Business.
• 3 years non-teaching work-related experience or an associate's degree with 5 years non-teaching experience.
• One year of demonstrated teaching experience required.
• Official transcript will be required; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in assigned classes per course descriptions and outcomes.
• Provide syllabus with policies, objectives, materials and evaluation methods.
• Maintain course records and submit final grades on time.
• Develop curriculum and instructional materials, using diverse delivery methods.
• Assess student learning and participate in program assessment activities.
• Utilize technologies to enhance instruction and monitor learning outcomes.
• Contribute to department and college service, attend meetings as required.
• Support informed academic decisions through career and transfer discussions.
