Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking a Pastry Assistant to join our pastry team. You’ll learn from a seasoned Pastry Chef, preparing and baking pastry and dessert items to execute the chef’s vision while honing your skills.

Create desserts to spec, maintain clean, organized work areas, and support kitchen operations across shifts. A minimum of one year in pastry is preferred; strong teamwork and flexible availability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of pastry kitchen experience.
• Positive energy and ability to work as a team member.
• Able to read and understand basic baking directions.
• Strong communication with managers, staff, and guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all dessert and baked goods per standard recipe cards.
• Adhere to portion sizes, methods, quality standards and kitchen policies.
• Complete a Daily Prep List and Closing Checklist for assigned duties; keep station clean and sanitary.
• Report shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
