Job summary

Calvary Chapel Eagle is seeking a Pastoral Resident to join a hands-on, mentor-driven formation season for those sensing a call to vocational ministry. You will be immersed in preaching, shepherding, staff conversations, and cross-ministry service in a growing church context.

The program focuses on Bible teaching, community, and leadership development, with a goal of forming a pastor ready for service within CCE or elsewhere. Relocation to Treasure Valley is required for the full term.

Qualifications

• A growing, tested relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear sense of calling to vocational pastoral ministry.
• Full alignment with CCE's mission, vision, and core values, and with a Calvary Chapel approach to Scripture.
• A teachable, humble spirit, willing to be corrected, coached, and shaped, not just credentialed.
• Evidence of gifting and character through prior ministry involvement, such as serving or leading a group.
• Willingness to relocate to Treasure Valley for the full term and to become an active member of CCE

Responsibilities

• Sit under, and be trained in, expository verse-by-verse preaching, with feedback from pastoral staff.
• Build a personal rhythm of daily Scripture and prayer for sustained ministry.
• Preach and teach in CGroups, midweek studies, and the Sunday platform with mentorship.
• Complete an assigned reading and theology curriculum alongside weekly mentoring conversations.
• Lead or co-lead a CGroup and provide pastoral care under supervision.
• Rotate through Pastoral, Administrative, and Creative lanes to understand church operations.
