  • Previous parish ministry or pastoral experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, and parishioners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and parish management software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pastor in development and implementation of parish pastoral initiatives and programs.
  • Coordinate and support parish ministries, volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement efforts.
  • Facilitate adult faith formation, small groups, Bible studies, retreats, and other spiritual enrichment opportunities.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to parishioners experiencing illness, grief, crisis, or other life challenges.
  • Assist with sacramental preparation programs, including Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage preparation.
  • Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to strengthen parish outreach and evangelization efforts.
  • Coordinate communication between parish leadership, volunteers, and parishioners.
  • Support liturgical ministries and special parish events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate ministry records, schedules, and program documentation.
  • Participate in parish staff meetings and assist with long-range pastoral planning.
  • Represent the parish in a professional and faith-centered manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.

Job Summary

St. Pius V Catholic Church seeks a faith-filled and dedicated Pastoral Associate to support the spiritual, pastoral, and administrative ministries of the parish. The Pastoral Associate collaborates with the Pastor, parish staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to foster parish engagement, coordinate faith formation opportunities, provide pastoral care, and advance the mission of the Church through evangelization, outreach, and community building.
