The Evangelical Free Church of Green Valley (EFCGV) in Green Valley, AZ is seeking a full‑time Pastor of Congregational Care to provide spiritual leadership and pastoral support through a comprehensive care ministry. Responsibilities include shepherding individuals through illness, grief, and spiritual challenges, with biblically grounded counseling and compassionate presence.

Qualifications include a Biblical faith, ordination or willingness to pursue, a relevant degree (bachelor's or master's)

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in religious studies or a seminary degree is required (or equivalent theological training).
3–5 years of ministry experience in pastoral care and/or congregational care.

Responsibilities

Oversee visitation for the sick, hospitalized individuals, and shut-ins; provide emotional and spiritual encouragement.
Lead development of congregational care teams and ministries; oversee volunteers and structure.
Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to assess care needs; coordinate with support groups and other ministries.
Be available during emergencies (deaths, accidents, disasters) and coordinate church response.
Provide compassionate, biblical counseling to members facing illness, grief, relationship challenges, and spiritual struggles.
Occasional preaching/teaching as assigned; represent Lead Pastor at meetings and events; support memorials and weddings.
