Job description

We are seeking a full-time pastor for our small southern Baptist church in a rural Oklahoma farming community. We are open to making this a bi-vocational position depending on what the other occupation is. First Baptist Church, Keyes, OK, is a southern Baptist Church in a small farming community in the panhandle of Oklahoma. We are seeking a full-time pastor. We are asking the Lord to send us a man that has been called to preach and teach the Word of God, to lead our congregation in discipleship and evangelism, to minister and encourage people of all ages, and to be a solid spiritual presence in our community. Our church has a good relationship with the other Baptist churches in our county and in our association. Our church is celebrating its 100 year anniversary this fall. We have been a light in this community for many years with a strong youth and children's ministry, missions focus, and benevolence to our community. We are open to hiring a person that is in the process of completing his education if the education courses could be done online. Other than part-time clerical and janitorial staff, the pastor is the only paid staff position. We have a parsonage available, which will be figured into the salary package.
