First Baptist Glennville, Georgia is seeking God's man as our next full-time pastor to lead sermon ministry, worship planning, and the spiritual health of our rural congregation.

The pastor will oversee ordinances, provide biblical counseling, visit members, officiate weddings and funerals, and guide staff while partnering with the music director to ensure doctrinal worship and local outreach.

• Meets overseer qualifications per 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
• Master of Divinity or equivalent from SBC seminary preferred.
• Experience in pastoral ministry with a track record of healthy congregational growth.
• Fully aligned with the SBC Baptist Faith and Message.

First Baptist Church of Glennville, Georgia is seeking God's man as our next full-time pastor. Tattnall County, Georgia, United States. Situated in the Magnolia Midlands region, it is roughly a 45-minute drive from Statesboro, 30 minutes from Hinesville, and over an hour from Savannah. It is known as a rural town and a major producer of Vidalia sweet onions, (Google.com).

Responsibilities

• Word and Worship
  • Deliver prayerfully prepared Christ-centered sermons during Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday night services.
  • Lead and oversee the administration of the ordinances (Baptism and the Lord's Supper).
  • Coordinate with the music director to ensure worship services are doctrinally sound and spiritually engaging.
• Pastoral Care
  • Provide biblical counseling to individuals, couples, and families within the congregation.
  • Visit the sick, elderly, and homebound members in Glennville and surrounding medical facilities.
  • Officiate at weddings and funerals for church members and their families.
• Leadership and Vision
  • Moderate business meetings and serve as the ex-officio head of all church committees.
  • Lead the staff and deacons in implementing the church's mission and long-term strategic goals.
  • Champion evangelism and local outreach initiatives to connect with the South Georgia community.
• Administrative Oversight
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the church office alongside administrative staff.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Committee to develop and oversee the annual budget.
  • Represent the church within the Tattnall-Evans Baptist Association and the Georgia Baptist Convention.

Qualifications

• Spiritual Maturity: Meets the biblical qualifications of an overseer as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
• Education: A Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent from an accredited Southern Baptist seminary is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in pastoral ministry, with a proven track record of healthy congregational growth is preferred.
• Doctrine: Full alignment with the Southern Baptist Convention's Baptist Faith and Message.
