Job summary

California Pizza Kitchen in Palm Desert is seeking a Pasta Cook to join our dynamic, food-loving team. You will maintain high standards for food quality and sanitation, and prepare pastas, sandwiches, and grilled items with precision.

Qualifications

• Three to six months related experience or training in pasta cookery or food prep.
• Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Willingness to learn and follow prep procedures and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards for food quality and sanitation.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of pastas, sandwiches, and grilled items.
• Support line checks process and complete prep par sheets every shift.
• Prepare all necessary items for their station as needed.
• Practice and teach safe/sanitary handling of cutting boards, countertops, knives, and equipment.
• Maintain proper temperature of equipment and perform opening/closing and side work duties.
