Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.

• Previous experience servicing passenger vehicles and/or passenger vehicle tires.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must provide and maintain your own basic mechanic's tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including inspection, rotation, replacement, balancing, and related repairs.
• Inspect and test vehicles to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, engine tune-ups, and other routine services.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Identify and repair engine and vehicle system failures.
• Replace worn or defective parts and components as needed.
• Conduct test drives to verify vehicle safety, performance, and serviceability.
• Adjust vehicle controls and systems to ensure proper operation.
• Perform required inspections and testing to ensure compliance with applicable state vehicle safety and emissions requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, services, and repairs.
• Maintain service equipment by following operating procedures, troubleshooting problems, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs when necessary.
• Monitor shop inventory and supplies; place orders and verify deliveries.
• Stay current with automotive technology and repair practices through training, educational opportunities, and technical publications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service area.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
