Role Summary

As a working leader of the Passenger Service group, the Team Captain will assume the responsibility and accountability of the team while leading, directing, motivating, evaluating and approving the work of the Passenger Service Agents.

Key Duties
  • Leads the Passenger Service Agents on shift and is responsible for the success of a team’s ability to achieve the mutually established goals of Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines.
  • Ensures that the Passenger Service Agents follow proper procedures.
  • Performs leadership duties such as assigning flights for the day, scheduling and managing agents on a week to week basis.
  • Other duties may include clerical functions, reports and assisting with unexpected passenger needs or complaints.
  • The Team Captain will also perform Passenger Service Agent duties.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • A minimum of 6 months of customer service or airline operations experience.
  • Ability to lead, direct and motivate teams for optimum performance.
  • Strong active listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.

Starting Rate

USD $23.60/Hr.
