Drummac, Inc. in San Jose, California, seeks a Mechanical Apprentice (Qualified Person) to inspect and repair passenger rail cars and locomotives under the supervision of a Passenger Rail Mechanic, adhering to safety and company policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, trade school or locomotive maintenance training, and a valid driver's license. The role demands flexibility for overtime and outdoor work, with comprehensive benefits provided.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Trade school or locomotive/diesel maintenance training required.
• Experience with locomotive mechanical or electrical systems preferred.

Mansioni

• Performs air brake inspection of passenger cars and locomotives.
• Conducts daily locomotive inspections and repairs/replacements of parts.
• Troubleshoots passenger cars (toilet, A/C, doors, lights, electrical, brakes) and performs repairs.
• Completes regulatory, client and company paperwork.
• Performs electrical tests and maintenance on locomotives.
• Communicates inspection findings to Supervisor.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.
