Role Purpose

The Passenger Assistant Agent is responsible for assisting passengers with mobility needs throughout the airport terminal in a safe, courteous, and professional manner. This role provides wheelchair transportation and customer support to ensure passengers receive timely assistance from check‑in through boarding, connections, arrival, and baggage claim.

What you will be doing
  • Assist passengers requiring wheelchair or mobility assistance throughout the airport
  • Transport passengers safely between ticket counters, security checkpoints, gates, baggage claim, and connecting flights
  • Assist passengers with boarding and deplaning aircraft when required
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication to passengers and families
  • Assist elderly passengers, individuals with disabilities, and travelers requiring special assistance
  • Handle wheelchairs and mobility equipment safely and properly
  • Coordinate with gate agents, airline staff, and airport personnel to ensure timely passenger assistance
  • Respond promptly to wheelchair service requests and maintain efficient passenger flow
  • Assist with light baggage handling when necessary
  • Follow all airport safety procedures, airline policies, and TSA regulations
  • Report operational concerns, passenger incidents, or equipment issues to supervisors promptly
  • Maintain professionalism, patience, and sensitivity while assisting passengers
  • Perform other duties as requested

  • Requires extensive walking throughout airport terminals
  • Exposure to crowded and high‑traffic passenger areas
  • Ability to push passengers in wheelchairs for extended periods
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shifts
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to assist passengers safely during boarding and deplaning operations
  • Must be able to take verbal directions in English
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • Must pass pre‑employment and random drug tests
  • Must pass a pre‑employment background check
  • Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • Must be in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials
  • Identification badges must always be visible
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
