Job summary

Burke is seeking a PASRR Specialist to assess individuals admitted to or residing in nursing facilities who have diagnosed or suspected serious mental illness. Travel across Burke's 11-county service region is required for this role.

The position focuses on identifying service needs, coordinating care with facilities and community providers, and ensuring proper documentation in health records. Training in PASRR procedures and related systems will be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social/human services field is required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation for regional travel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Experience with electronic health records and data systems.
• Willingness to complete SAMA/CPR/First Aid/Defensive Driving training.
• Occasional after-hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals admitted to or residing in nursing facilities with serious mental illness.
• Recommend appropriate mental health services based on evaluations.
• Coordinate care with nursing facilities and community providers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support care planning.
• Educate nursing facility staff on PASRR requirements and services.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Travel frequently across Burke's 11-county service region.
