Experience Champaign Urbana is looking for a Native Language Teaching Assistant (Pashto Bilingual) to work closely under the supervision of the ESL teacher at Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Elementary. This role involves providing specialized instruction and assisting in classrooms, specifically for Pashto-speaking students. The ideal candidate must hold a Paraprofessional Certificate or have 60 college credit hours. Start date is ASAP for the upcoming school year 2026-27.

Qualifications

• Must meet all requirements for the position as designated by the ISBE.
• Pashto bilingual is required.
• Ability to assist in supporting ESL classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide native language literacy and/or math instruction to small groups of students.
• Assist in supporting ESL classrooms and/or general education classrooms.
• Assist with translation/interpretation in appropriate native languages.
