Job description

The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization led by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community. The organization is on the rise and is experiencing success both on and off the ice. Led by General Manager Bill Zito, the Panthers are coming off their best season in franchise history, entering the 2024-2025 season as Stanley Cup Champions. Off the ice, the business is experiencing growth across all key metrics and our revenue is at an all-time high. The organization is expanding outside of Amerant Bank Arena via the renovation of the FTL War Memorial in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This state-of-the-art ice facility features two regulation-size rinks, including a new team practice rink with stadium seating, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. The future is bright, and we are very proud of what we are building in South Florida.

Job Description Summary:
The Baptist Health IcePlex at FTL War Memorial seek a highly energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual who loves working with children to host our parties. This individual will be responsible for entertaining and ensuring all guests enjoy their time with us.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange tables & chairs to accommodate party size and decorate party room with supplies.
  • Must keep accurate count of guest, food orders, and party extra’s to ensure final bills are charged correctly at the end of each party.
  • Ensure the Guest of Honor is having fun and enjoying their time as well as their guests. Must keep the guests entertained.
  • Serve party guests lunch and cake.
  • Clean party room and wash dishes at the end of each party.
  • Other duties as they arise.

Required Knowledge/Skills/ Job Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must have great communication skills.
  • Must be able to handle fast-paced environments and multiple tasks at once.
  • Detail oriented, well-organized, able to work independently on assigned projects while under pressure.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Company Core competencies: work ethic, thriving in adversity, and empathy.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
