Job summary

Main Event in Knoxville, TN, is looking for a friendly Party Host to welcome birthday parties and lead scheduled activities with energy and care. You’ll ensure safety and sanitation while delivering FUN experiences that families remember.

As a Party Host, you’ll interact with guests, help manage party timelines, handle check-ins and basic transactions, and keep the space clean and organized from setup to teardown. Prior food/bev or hosting experience is a plus, but not required.

• Prior food and beverage or Party Host experience is a plus but not required.
• Guest-focused mindset with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with a team and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage with arriving birthday parties and serving as their Host throughout their scheduled activities.
• Interact with party Guests to create memorable experiences during the event.
• Monitor events, anticipate party needs, and assist the party parent/planner.
• Gather and store birthday gifts and cake if applicable.
• Process payment transactions and greet Guests returning to the venue.

Job Description: At Main Event, our Party Hosts are the life of the party and create unforgettable birthday memories! As a Party Host, you are enthusiastic and relentless in creating FUN birthday celebrations, all while having a little fun yourself! You know the details of the event inside and out and can manage the scheduled birthday activities, so our birthday parents don’t have to! You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Welcome and engage with arriving birthday parties and serving as their Host throughout their scheduled activities (let’s get this party started!)
• Creating memorable experiences by interacting and engaging with the party Guests throughout the birthday event
• Ensuring memorable birthday experiences by monitoring events, anticipating party needs, and aiding the party parent/party planner
• Gathering and storing birthday gifts and cake (if applicable)
• Processing payment transactions and welcoming our Guests back
• Setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after each party event
• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior food and beverage or Party Host experience is a plus but not required
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Attention to detail and strong multi-tasking skills
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights and/or weekends
