Description
The Party Host is responsible for safety and guest satisfaction during parties and events at the Fredericksburg Field House . This part-time position reports directly to the Youth Programs Director .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare party room and lanes/gym/courts prior to the start of party with a ll necessary supplies (i.e.-sports equipment, plates, napkins, etc.)
- Ensure party has been paid in full prior to the start of party
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding food orders
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding activities, as well as any preferred changes
- Assist and communicate with fellow Youth Programming Staff
- Lead activit ies while maintaining high energy, focus and attention of participants
- Ensure the participants are actively engaged and are having fun
- Deliver and serve food and beverages
- Clean party room and playing surfaces in a timely manner
- Knowledge of & respect for Fredericksburg Field House Mission
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Fredericksburg Field House, including its Per sonnel Handbook, and abide by them
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Youth Programs Director

Qualifications

- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience .
- Language Skills: Abili ty to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals . Ability to write routine reports and correspondence . Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization .
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's . Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance .
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out in structions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form . Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations .
- Computer Skills: Upon hire and training, the in dividual must be able to successfully utilize the Fredericksburg Field House Timeclock software .
