Job description

In keeping with the mission and values of Big Thunder Marine and the pledge to maintain our presence as the premier watercraft dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks, the Sales Assistant supports this initiative by providing premier customer service while serving as the primary point of contact for customers. Sales Assistant will also ensure the continued growth and success of our company by focusing on clear communication and efficiency regarding the sales team lead software. At all times, the Sales Assistant will work to enhance our customer service experience and create lasting relationships with our clients.

This is a part-time position that covers days off and provides additional coverage as needed for events. Average would be two to three days a week.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Greet clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.

• Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.

• Identify the clients and inform the appropriate salesperson by utilizing the Salesforce CRM program.

• Disperse incoming leads based on boat ownership (pre-owned and brokerage).

• Disperse new inventory leads based on salesperson availability.

• Initiate lead follow-up within an hour of assignment after the assignment.

• Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.

• Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.

• Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.

• Organize and clean merchandise displays to be customer friendly and presentable.

• Additional duties and tasks in coordination with the Retail Manager and retail needs.

• Additional duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Sales

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required, Post-secondary education is desired.

Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as a receptionist or administrative support preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with

Salesforce CRM is highly valued.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical office environment with moderate noise level when working indoors. Outdoor and marine environment may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. Noise level may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
