Right at Home Cedar Rapids is in need of an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to ensure our clients receive the highest quality home health care! We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic therapy team and provide exceptional care on an as-needed basis.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries. This role is ideal for someone seeking flexible hours in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide physical therapy treatments to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.

Assist in implementing individualized care plans and therapeutic interventions.

Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.

Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and functional activities.

Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.

Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a PTA in Iowa.

Current CPR certification.

Prior experience in Home Health, outpatient, acute, or long-term care settings is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:

PRN (as needed), with flexibility to cover weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays.
