Responsibilities

About This Opportunity

Kindly Direct Care is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional for a one-to-one opportunity in Point Pleasant, NJ. This role is perfect for a college student, educator, human-services professional, caregiver, or someone looking for meaningful part-time work. As a DSP, you will provide essential support to an adult with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, social connection, and progress towards personal goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities at home and/or in the community

• Offer community assistance and companionship, including supporting the individual while they volunteer at the library

• Encourage independence, social connection, and progress towards personal goals

• Assist with routines and activities based on the individual's needs

• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions

• Complete required documentation after services and communicate reliably with the Kindly team

Qualifications

• Ability to consistently commit to the exact posted schedule

• Dependable, respectful, patient, and comfortable working one-to-one

• Experience with behaviors preferred

• Driving required

• Ability to complete required onboarding, background checks, and training

Schedule and Benefits

• Schedule: Monday 2 pm-6 pm; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday between 11 am and 6 pm

• Pay: $17-$21/hour

• Location: Point Pleasant, NJ

• Driving on shift: Required
