Job description

Our Retreat Center is seeking a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. If you love being creative, working in a collaborative environment, and enjoy the rhythm of a busy kitchen, we want to hear from you!

POSITION DETAILS:

Part-Time: up to 20 hours a week Flexible schedule including nights and weekends Competitive hourly wage Supportive work environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and assist in meal preparation for retreat guests Maintain clean and organized kitchen space Support head chefs with food prep and cooking Assist with inventory management and kitchen supplies Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards Help with dishwashing, kitchen, and dining room cleaning

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a food service environment is preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to stand for extended periods Food Safety Certification is a plus; however, we are open to training the right candidate
