Job Description:

The Night Auditor reviews the daily guest ledger of the hotel and verifies financial balances. They also act as a Front Desk clerk during night hours, including checking guests in or out, taking reservations by phone, and providing services to guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate front desk cash drawers, room sales, and folio transactions.
  2. Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
  3. Issue room keys and escort instructions.
  4. Transmit telephone messages.
  5. Answer inquiries related to hotel services, guest registration, and local directions.
  6. Keep records of room availability and guest accounts.
  7. Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests.
  8. Make and confirm reservations.
  9. Post charges such as room, sundry items, fax, or copy services.
  10. Arrange restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations, and tours.
  11. Deposit guests' valuables in the safe deposit box.
  12. Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously.
  13. Restock and organize work area.
  14. Deliver supplies to guests as needed.
  15. Review data on room status, income, and expenditures.
  16. Prepare required computer-generated reports.
  17. Verify journal and ledger entries for cash, checks, and credit card payments.
  18. Transmit daily credit card batches to the bank.
  19. Prepare checkout folios for departures with credit card payments.

Additional Details:

This shift will be 16-24 hours a week, from 11 pm to 7 am. Applicants must be 21 or older. Weekend availability is required.
