Job summary

The Nanny Loft is seeking dependable, caring, and flexible full-time babysitters to provide quality childcare for families in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. Full-time sitters float between multiple families to cover 30–40 hours per week.

If you're organized, warm, and great with kids of all ages, we want to hear from you. This role requires a clean background, current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid, Mandated Reporter Training, and a valid driver's license, with evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 3 years of childcare experience, including infant care.
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Current Mandated Reporter Training.
• Current Car Seat Safety Training.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current auto insurance.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Physically able to actively care for an infant (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Must provide proof of required vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for children of all ages, including infants.
• Float between multiple families to fulfill a full-time schedule of 30–40 hours per week.
• Follow each family's routines (feeding, naps, play, homework help).
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities (arts/crafts, outdoor play, educational games).
• Safely transport children to school, activities, and appointments.
• Assist with light household tasks and basic meal preparation as needed.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily activities and incidents.
• Adapt to varying schedules across households, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.

The Nanny Loft is seeking dependable, caring, and flexible full-time babysitters to provide quality childcare and occasional household support for families in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. Full-time sitters float between multiple families to collectively work 30–40 hours per week. If you're organized, warm, great with kids of all ages, and ready to show up for families who truly need you — we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for children of all ages, including infants
• Float between multiple families to fulfill a collective full-time schedule of 30–40 hours per week
• Follow each family's routines, including feeding, nap times, playtime, and homework help
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games
• Safely transport children to school, activities, appointments, and playdates
• Assist with light household tasks and basic meal preparation as needed
• Administer medication with parental consent when required
• Maintain open, accurate communication with parents about daily activities, meals, and any incidents
• Adapt to varying schedules across multiple households, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum 3 years of childcare experience, including infant care
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification required
• Current Mandated Reporter Training required
• Current Car Seat Safety Training required
• Must pass a comprehensive background check
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current auto insurance
• Reliable personal transportation required
• Physically able to actively care for an infant, including lifting up to 50 lbs, engaging in floor-level play, and moving quickly to ensure child safety
• Knowledge of infant safety, safe sleep practices, and child development
• Physical examination completed within the last 12 months required
• Must provide proof of current required vaccinations (including but not limited to Td/Tdap, MMR, HepA, HepB, PCV, and influenza)
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND RESOURCES

Candidates must currently hold all three of the following certifications before applying:

1. Mandated Reporter Training
2. Car Seat Safety Training
3. Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification

Physical Examination Requirement:

A physical exam completed within the last 12 months is required. Candidates must submit a completed Pennsylvania Child Care Staff Health Assessment Form (CD-322).
