Job Description
Type: Contract / Part-Time (10–15 hours per week), Remote but must be in the Bay Area
Duration: Initial 3-month engagement with potential to extend
Compensation: $45-$60/hr, 10–15 hours/week + commission
About Us:
Our client is a small, long-standing staffing agency based in the South Bay Area, specializing in administrative, legal, technical and professional placements. We’re seeking a seasoned Business Development Consultant to help reinvigorate our sales pipeline, establish repeatable outreach systems, and mentor the manager/s in executing effective client acquisition strategies.
Role Overview:
This is a hands-on role for a strategic, execution-driven consultant who understands how to generate business in the staffing industry. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to develop lead-generation processes, refine outreach materials, and coach on how to build and manage relationships with new prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit and enhance our current sales approach, outreach messaging, and lead pipeline.
Identify and research high-potential clients in targeted industries and geographies.
Build and test outbound campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn) using proven methods.
Provide one-on-one mentorship and coaching to our Branch Manager, focusing on:
Outreach cadence and follow-up
Sales call preparation and execution
CRM usage and lead tracking
Assist with the creation of pitch materials, email templates, and sales collateral.
Join client meetings (when needed) to model effective consultative selling techniques.
Report weekly on progress, KPIs, and improvement recommendations.
Qualifications:
5+ years of business development or sales consulting experience in the staffing/recruiting industry.
Proven ability to generate and close new client relationships.
Strong mentoring, coaching, and communication skills.
Experience setting up outbound lead-generation systems and processes.
Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools, and staffing-specific platforms.
