Job summary

Nanny Poppins Agency seeks a long-term, part-time live-out nanny in Wyckoff, NJ for two children aged 3 and 5. You will pick them up from school, supervise after-school activities, help with homework, and prepare dinner.

Qualifications

• Professional in-home nanny or daycare experience with toddlers/preschoolers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.

• Engaging, energetic and loving approach with young children.
• Long-term commitment of 2+ years preferred; CPR/First Aid certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick children up from school between 3:00–3:30 PM.
• Drive to after-school activities and coordinate with coaches.
• Plan engaging activities, park trips and homework support.
• Prepare dinner for the children and handle bath time.
• Oversee bath, pajamas, toys and light chores after children."
• Supervise around the pool area for safety and supervision.
• Work extra hours when a parent travels.

Start Date: Between January 4 and March 1, 2027
Location: Wyckoff, NJ
Compensation: $25–$35/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00–7:00 PM, and the family is open to more hours for the right candidate
Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours/week minimum, with additional hours available

Overview

A warm, easygoing family in Wyckoff, NJ is looking for a long-term, part-time, live-out after-school nanny for their two children, ages 3 and 5. They hope to find someone who will stay for several years. You’ll pick the children up from school and take care of the afternoon and evening: activities, park trips, homework, dinner, and bath time. The parents are relaxed and casual employers. They want their children to be polite and respectful and to have plenty of fun, and they’d like a caregiver who takes initiative and keeps the children first. The home has a pool, so you need to be a confident swimmer. The family is open to adding more hours for the right candidate, so if you’re looking for more than 20 hours a week, this role can grow with you.

Responsibilities:

• Pick the children up from school between 3:00 and 3:30 PM
• Drive the children to and from after-school activities such as dance and soccer, and coordinate pick-up and drop-off with coaches
• Plan engaging activities, outings, and park trips
• Help with homework
• Prepare dinner for the children
• Handle bath time and get the children into pajamas
• Do the children’s laundry and dishes, pick up toys, and tidy up after the children
• Supervise the children safely around the home pool
• Work extra hours as needed when a parent travels without the children

Requirements:

• Professional in-home nanny experience, or daycare experience with toddlers and preschoolers
• Valid driver’s license, and a reliable personal vehicle
• Confident swimmer, comfortable swimming with the children
• Engaging, energetic, and loving with young children
• Takes initiative and stays flexible on busy days
