Altorfer Industries, Addison, IL, is seeking a Parts Department Supervisor to lead warehouse operations, inventory control, and staff development. You will ensure timely processing and distribution of parts for diverse customers, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years supervisory experience, strong communication, and knowledge of Caterpillar products. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs and forklift operation in a dynamic, union-aware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of parts operations and/or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Parts Department operations and experience in parts handling.
• Excellent written, email, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to safety lift to 75 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily operations of the Parts Department including warehouse, inventory, warranty, parts counter, and administrative functions.
• Oversee accurate processing, picking, handling, and distribution of parts for internal and external customers.
• Plan and manage daily staffing and schedules for Warehouse, Parts Counter, and administrative staff.
• Provide direction, training, coaching, and support to Parts staff to promote productivity and teamwork.
• Review and manage parts performance reports including returns, warranty activity, back orders, and inventory accuracy.
• Conduct annual employee performance reviews and safety meetings.
• Operate forklift, parts delivery vehicle, or other warehouse equipment as needed.
