Job summary

Kenworth Sales Company, a longstanding industry leader with 33 service locations and 5 TRP parts stores, is seeking a Parts Warehouse Lead to join our Spokane, WA team.

The role manages shipping/receiving, dispatches drivers, and ensures stock orders are put away and processed. Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid drivers license, and experience in shipping with familiarity of bills of lading and packaging. Forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Dispatch delivery drivers and ship material per approved documents.
• Maintain warehouse organization, stock bins, cycles, locations, and housekeeping.
• Process vendor returns, cores, and customer backorders per procedures.
• Ensure cash sales are collected when delivered by drivers.
• Attach proper paperwork for warranty parts before forwarding to warranty dept.
• Lead warehouse crew and coordinate day-to-day tasks with management guidance.

Kenworth Sales Co. is looking for a Parts Warehouse Lead to join our Spokane, WA team.

Salary Minimum and Maximum:

$20 - $22 Hourly. Depending on experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Warehouse Lead is to handle shipping and receiving of all freight material arriving or leaving the facility, dispatching delivery drivers, and ensuring all stock orders are processed and put away. Performs a variety of tasks within the warehouse to support the warehouse operations and the sales team while communicating status of them with manager.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Dispatch delivery drivers, package and ship material as specified on authorized shipping documents, i.e., invoices, return merchandise requests, etc. for both operations.
• Maintain warehouse, to include stocking bins, cycle counts, location maintenance, and general housekeeping.
• Process all vendor returns, cores, and other items along with customer backorders according to established procedures.
• Ensure all cash sales are paid and or collected when delivered by drivers.
• Ensure all parts returned for warranty have the proper paperwork attached before sending them to the warranty department.
• Working with the warehouse crew and guiding them on how to complete their day-to-day tasks. Seek Guidance from management on handling issues and implementing appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Valid driver’s license in good standing. Experience in shipping: knowledge of bills of lading and freight bills. Packaging skills: knowledge of how materials should be packed to reach its destination economically and without damage. General parts knowledge is preferred. Excellent organization, verbal, and communication skills. Ability to operate warehouse forklift and complete formal training program.

Working Conditions

This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, employee will work at a desk in a warehouse setting doing paperwork, telephoning, and filing. For part of the shift, employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving around the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lifting of at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis, as well as heavier loads with forklifts and/or additional assistance will be required. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
