Job summary

Beaver Chevrolet in Jacksonville is seeking a shipping/receiving clerk to support our Parts and Service Customers. This Tuesday through Saturday role offers the chance to grow with a fast-paced team and meaningful customer impact.

You will manage parts distribution, assist in shipments, perform cycle counts, and help maintain inventory accuracy in a busy automotive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Forklift driving certification preferred or required.
• 2+ years counter or stockroom experience in automotive/trucking environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distributes parts/supplies at counter and posts parts to work orders on computer.
• Assists in shipping and receiving by unpacking/packing boxes; stocks parts on shelves.
• Unloads trucks and signs for shipments; inspects for damage and returns if necessary.
• Conducts physical count of parts/supplies for cycle inventory.
• Advises manager Parts of stock outs and low stock problems based on inventory data.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required

Experience:

• Valid state driver’s license required
• Must be able to obtain a forklift driving certification
• 2 years or more of counter or stockroom experience in an automotive or trucking environment preferred

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Must submit to drug testing and a background check

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; and smell.
• Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a shop environment with moderate noise.
