Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Parts Technician II to ensure technicians have the required parts for repairs and to maintain inventory accuracy. The role involves outdoor work at times, shift flexibility including nights or weekends, and full-time attendance.

Responsibilities include processing requests, audits, and merchandise control, while mentoring shop staff and maintaining safety, records, and systems related to parts receipts, shipments, and usage.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to 12 to 18 months of direct experience and/or training
  • Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
  • Diligence in safety policies and environment

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill parts requests by technicians and ensure parts are properly charged to the unit under repair
  • Observe all Company safety requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Mentor and train other shop personnel
  • Ensure compliance of safety policies
  • Maintain a clean, well-ordered work environment free of trash and hazards
  • Retain and ship parts per Warranty Retention and Core Management procedures
  • Provide administrative support by copying and typing correspondence, maintaining records and filing
  • Maintain JBHT information systems in regards to parts receipts, shipments, inventories, and usage
  • Ensure each unit has required inventory of equipment for usability and replacement
  • Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventories as required
  • Receive inbound shipments of parts and fuel to ensure proper quantity and damage-free; stock inbound parts to proper storage location and update information systems

Job Summary

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring parts are available to truck and trailer technicians for repairs. Manage inventory stock levels, perform audits, and submit orders to maintain an adequate supply of parts. Maintain information systems and process core and warranty returns according to Company requirements. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to a 12 to 18 months of direct experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education,experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may beeligible forannual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of theCompany’s bonusand incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $21.15 - $31.75
This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
