Job summary

Ports America Shared Services, Inc. is seeking an organized warehouse associate in Brunswick, GA. You will schedule personnel, direct daily activities, monitor quality, and ensure safety and cost efficiency while maintaining inventory control of all parts and warehouse areas.

The role requires at least 1 year in materials handling, a valid US driver’s license and a TWIC badge, with a Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:00pm shift and potential overtime or weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience in materials handling, inventory control, shipping/receiving, procurement, communication, and lead duties.
• Valid US Driver's License.
• TWIC Badge issued by DHS.
• Experience operating automatic and manual shift vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Schedule personnel daily for productive, cost-efficient operations.
• Direct daily activities to meet customer needs and goals.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of work.
• Provide training on procedures, safety, and hazard communication.
• Enforce safety rules and promote safety as a priority.
• Assist with ordering and controlling warranty/parts inventory.
• Maintain proper inventory and control of all parts.
• Keep warehouse orderly, clean, and safe.
• Notify supervisor of barriers to workload completion.
• Fill in for other positions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Shift: Mon–Fri 6:30am–3:00pm with possible overtime/weekend work.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for daily scheduling of personnel to ensure productive and cost-efficient operations.
• Assist in directing daily activities in response to our customer needs.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of work to meet goals and objectives.
• Provide training to employees as needed to include proper work procedures, hazard communication standards and safe work practices.
• Enforce all safety rules and promote the importance of safety in the performance of all job functions.
• Responsible for effectively administering other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
• Assist with ordering and controlling all warranty and body shop parts.
• Assist with maintaining the proper inventory and control of all consigned parts.
• Maintain an efficient, orderly, and clean warehouse.
• Notify Parts Supervisor of barriers to complete assigned workload.
• Fill in as needed for all positions when employees are off.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• SHIFT: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm with the possibility of overtime and weekend work as directed by business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in materials handling field, inventory control, shipping and receiving, procurement, communication skills, and lead skills.
• Valid US Driver's License
• Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
• Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles

Physical Working Conditions

• Pass forklift training / certification and operate forklift
• Sit, stand, walk, drive throughout shift

• Work in varying climates as well as be exposed to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and other conditions
