Job summary

Van-Wall Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to sell service parts, bulk fluids, attachments and accessories. You will assist in-store customers, promote products, and stock shelves while identifying complete parts solutions for equipment repairs.

Responsibilities include using the John Deere Parts Catalog, helping service technicians, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the parts department neat and organized during regular business hours.

Qualifications

• Basic data entry/keyboard skills.
• Basic parts and machinery knowledge.
• Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Walk, bend/stoop, Squat, Reach above Shoulder level, Grasping.
• Majority of the job is completed during regular business hours, but some job duties may require flexible hours.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Identify, order and receive necessary parts for repair.
• Promotes and sells products to meet customer needs.
• Supply service technicians with needed parts.
• Maintain merchandise displays.
• Verify shipments and place orders to keep inventory accurate.
• Keep the parts department clean and orderly; assist with shortages.
• Maintain department tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Collaborate with Parts Manager on inventory issues.
