JOB SUMMARY:

The parts person will be responsible for excellent customer service, as extending optimal customer care and concern is a priority. This position will require completing tasks at the parts counter, including receiving parts calls, greeting customers, assisting walk-in customers, processing paperwork, and handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions. They will be expected to perform all related warehouse duties, including accurate counting, receiving, and shipping of parts, receiving stock, accounting for warranty items, housekeeping, and building hoses. This person is expected to perform all necessary tasks surrounding contamination control and have a strong focus on safety. Driving is required for this position.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of warehouse and inventory experience are required. Some of this experience should be in a mechanical parts environment, preferably with knowledge and experience with CAT heavy equipment and diesel engine parts.
  • Must have proficiency using MS Office and familiarity with and experience in a database environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The functions of the position require lifting, carrying, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Standing and sitting up, moving up and down stairs, and climbing into machines will be required. The functions of the position require normal dexterity and repetitive, as well as frequent, movements that involve the hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
