The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls per company policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept payments, make change, and process credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns for credit following company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.
9. Assist with daily operational tasks such as freight receival, stocking, and planogram updates.
10. Perform in-store services (where legal), such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle trouble codes.
11. Drive a delivery vehicle as needed, subject to driving record requirements.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

1. Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
2. Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
3. Ability to multitask effectively handling customers in-store and on the phone.

Desired Qualifications

1. Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and sales or service.
2. ASE certification.
3. Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
