The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow and promote all company customer service programs, i.e., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
2. Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
3. Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
4. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
5. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
6. Responsible for accurately maintaining and securing the cash drawer, accepting cash and checks, making change, and processing credit card transactions.
7. Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, following company policies.
8. Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
9. Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting, facing, cleaning, etc.
10. Perform operational tasks such as merchandise returns, stock adjustments, inventory counts, etc.
11. Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
12. Perform in-store services for customers where legal, such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, scanning vehicle trouble codes, etc.
13. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if business needs require and driving record qualifies.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Ability to multitask handling customers on the phone and in-store simultaneously.

Desired

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
