Stewart & Stevenson is now hiring a Parts Specialist at 2701 N Cage Blvd, Pharr, TX 78577. The role involves selling spare and replacement parts and equipment in the repair shop or parts store for multiple product lines.

Responsibilities
  • Read catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computer displays to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
  • Determine required replacement parts based on inspections, customer requests, or descriptions of malfunctions.
  • Receive and process telephone orders for parts.
  • Fill customer orders from stock.
  • Prepare sales slips or contracts.
  • Receive payments or obtain credit authorizations.
  • Maintain inventory of stock.
  • Advise customers on substitutions or modifications when identical replacements are unavailable.
  • Examine returned parts for defects and handle exchanges or refunds.
  • Store parts systematically in stockrooms.
  • Discuss parts' features and uses based on machine or equipment knowledge.
  • Demonstrate equipment and explain its functioning to customers.
  • Display new merchandise appropriately.
  • Measure parts with precision instruments to determine suitability for machining.
  • Repair parts or equipment as needed.
  • Provide sales quotes for multi-part orders.
Qualifications

Computer Skills:
