Job Summary
Lone Star Chevrolet is seeking a high-energy Parts Counter Sales Specialist who excels in driving retail and wholesale parts sales and providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include processing orders, engaging customers proactively, building relationships with wholesale accounts, and growing our parts department revenue.
Responsibilities
- Proactively sell automotive parts to retail customers, repair shops, and wholesale accounts to drive department growth.
- Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service at the counter and over the phone.
- Handle incoming calls and online inquiries with a sales-first approach; provide pricing, availability, and recommendations to close sales.
- Maintain relationships with wholesale accounts and seek new sales opportunities.
- Accurately process orders, ensuring timely delivery or pickup.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with vendors for sourcing parts.
- Assist technicians in identifying and obtaining needed parts.
- Stay updated on new products, promotions, and parts trends.
- Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate parts records.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of automotive dealership parts counter experience, handling both retail and wholesale sales.
- Experience in building customer relationships and exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and systems; ability to identify and source parts quickly.
- Experience with dealership DMS and parts catalog systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds, PartsEdge).
- Excellent communication skills with a sales-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and inquiries.
- Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment testing (background check, drug test, MVR, valid driver’s license).
Additional Information
Actual earnings depend on sales volume; top performers may earn more.
