Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Parts Retail Associate in Texas to assist technicians and retail guests, ensuring accurate parts selection and pricing. You will engage customers, upsell where appropriate, and keep the parts area organized and inviting.

With at least one year in an automotive parts environment and strong customer service skills, you’ll help drive sales and customer satisfaction across our nationwide AutoNation network.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in an automotive parts department.
• One year of sales experience.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet and assist technicians and retail guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Obtain correct parts and accessories for technicians and retail guests promptly.
• Accurately price parts using the proper pricing source and update documents and systems.
• Answer telephone inquiries promptly and satisfy customer questions.
• Stock incoming inventory and maintain the parts department in a clean, orderly state.
• Provide customers with information and upsell where appropriate.
• Create and maintain product merchandising displays to promote sales.

Overview

The Parts Retail Associate position has the opportunity to interact with hundreds of customers to assist them in purchasing automotive parts. The goal is to create an exceptional buying experience to build customer loyalty to AutoNation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Promptly meet and assist both the technician and the retail guest in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Obtain the correct parts and accessories for both the technician and the retail guest in a timely manner.
• Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and transfer the information to the proper document and computer system.
• Answer telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the caller’s inquiry.
• Stock incoming inventory in the correct location.
• Maintain the parts department in clean and orderly manner.
• Provide customers with needed information and offer additional sales opportunities.
• Create and maintain merchandising display to promote product sales.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
