Job summary

Ingenics Corporation USA is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to investigate, analyze, and correct issues with supplier parts in the Trim and Interior commodity. You will coordinate Model Year activities and align with the MP team, lead root-cause analysis and drive continuous improvement, while supporting production on supplier-related issues.

You will also manage part sorting, containment, data communication between supplier plants, and coordinate retrofit/rework campaigns, always following

Qualifications

• Experience with injection molded parts.
• Knowledge of wrapping parts (Headliner, A-pillars/descriptive: A/B/C pillars).
• Strong problem-solving and data-reporting skills.

Job description

This position is responsible for investigating, analyzing and correcting issues with supplier parts through collaborative efforts with business partners within the company and suppliers to ensure the incoming quality and functionality of parts. Commodity: Trim and Interior.

What You'll Do:

Coordinate, align and report on activities for Model Year and Running Change Measures. This includes the following:

• Align with the Supplier Quality Engieer (MP) on boundary samples, reviewing trial parts and providing line
• support, and reporting part readiness for launch to the MP team.
• Lead corrective action and root cause analysis using problem solving methods and continuous improvement
• Support Production Operations regarding supplier related issues, process improvements, and cross functional activities to achieve quality, safety and production goals.
• Coordinate part sorting activities utilizing 3rd party to include in-house, yard and sequencing areas.
• Coordinate and initiate containment activities in-house and feedback to Supplier Quality and Supplier(s).
• Initiate supplier notification and initial problem-solving documentation.
• Communicate and coordinate part quality and data information between supplier plants.
• Coordinate and manage part campaigns for retrofit/rework.
• Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive
• way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe
• conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
• Work safely 100% of the time.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience and knowledge with injection molded parts.
• Experience and knowledge of material wrapping parts, example Headliner, A, B, C Pillars.
• Must be a logical thinker, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to download data and create graphs and reports.
• Must be able to work under pressure and be willing to work flexible hours as required.
