Martin Marietta Parts Person Job Description

Martin Marietta is seeking a Parts Person for our Maple Grove Maintenance Facility location, reporting to the Distribution Manager. The role involves responsibilities related to parts delivery, shipping, receiving, warehouse management, facility and grounds maintenance, shop support, and field support.

Essential Functions

1. Pull orders for shop jobs and field operations.
2. Periodically pick up and deliver parts locally.
3. Load and unload motor freight trucks, flatbed trailers, and containers using forklifts of various sizes.
4. Receive and check-in parts and supplies for inventory, shop jobs, field operations, and maintenance.
5. Maintain general housekeeping of the work area and warehouse.
6. Prepare items for shipment via motor freight and smaller courier services like FedEx/UPS.
7. Support other department, facility, and business needs as required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position reports to the Maintenance Facility in Maple Grove. The role requires physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and communication. Occasionally, employees must lift or move up to 100 pounds, frequently 50 pounds, and constantly 20 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Position Details

This is a full-time role with long hours and weekend work expected.
