Aerotek is hiring a General Production Worker (Parts Packer) for an onsite role in O Fallon, MO. The position focuses on inspecting, sorting, counting, and packing hardware, bars, and components in a fast-paced machine shop environment.

Responsibilities include counting against BOMs, labeling, weighing, and ensuring traceability with accurate barcodes. Heavy lifting and standing for long shifts are required; experience in production or manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in production, general labor, or machine shop environments.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ pounds) regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate counts.
• Ability to stand for long periods and stay on your feet.
• Familiarity with basic tool operation and packing equipment.
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
• Sort and organize parts according to work orders and BOMs.
• Count parts and verify against documentation to prevent errors.
• Package items securely with padding and proper wrapping.
• Weigh packages and record weights for shipping and inventory.
• Attach barcodes, part numbers, and shipping labels for traceability.
• Use basic tools and equipment to complete packing tasks.
• Support machine setup and basic machining in the production area.
• Assist with punch press and CNC equipment as needed.
• Load materials onto equipment and perform heavy lifting.
• Maintain a clean, safe packing/assembly area with stocked supplies.
• Follow all production and safety procedures in the machine shop.
