Job summary

North American Stamping Group is seeking a motivated packer to support production by grouping components from presses, preparing materials for packaging, and ensuring correct labeling and staging for pickup. The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, teamwork, and adherence to safety rules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to read work instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Pack components produced from the press.
• Sort, fill, package, and palletize product to packaging specifications.
• Be accurate, efficient, and proactive in daily duties.
• Load coils from cradle to reel as needed.
• Prepare material at the feeder for production.
• Return equipment to storage during press changes.
• Maintain 5-S and keep the station clean and orderly.
• Keep incoming containers in proper locations.
• Report quality, production or safety problems to the Team Lead.
• Ensure finished product is labeled and staged for pickup.
• Write and follow up on work orders for repairs in area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Pack components produced from the press.
2. Sort, Fill, Package, & Palletize product to packaging specifications.
3. Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties.
4. Load coils as required from cradle to reel.
5. Feed strip of material up to the feeder to be readied for production.
6. During a press changeover, move all equipment back to storage locations.
7. 5-S as a PRIORITY - Keep station clean and orderly.
8. Keep incoming empty containers in proper locations.
9. Report all Quality, Production or Safety problems to the Team Lead.
10. Ensure finished product is labeled and staged for Material Handler pick-up.
11. Write & follow-up on Work Orders as needed for repairs in assigned area.
12. Understand and follow all safety rules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High school diploma or GED - minimum
• Basic computer skills and demonstrated basic math skills
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions in English

Experience:

• 2 Years manufacturing
• Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
• Prefer previous experience in an assembly / manufacturing environment.

Personal / Technical Skills:

• Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team
• Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties
• Ability to conduct basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required
• Ability to work at a fast pace
