Responsibilities

• Develop a pricing policy that produces profit
• Set policy on special ordering of parts
• Establish individual parts inventory levels and balance them for maximum turnover
• Select, train, and supervise all employees in the parts department while employing successful staff utilization techniques and devising a job description for each position
• Conduct any necessary employee training
• Develop an aggressive wholesale parts program to produce profits
• Analyze departmental operations and storage layout and revise as needed
• Establish paperwork flow and ensure parts creditors’ dollar limits are maintained and are current
• Assist in collection of past due accounts
• Analyze sales, gross expense, and inventory on a monthly basis to maintain profit goals

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Parts Management experience of 2-3 years required
• Import experience a PLUS
• Supervisory experience a must
• Self-starter and self-motivated
• Proven track record of success in a parts department
